Coke and By-Products Plant

The project site is a 170-acre former major coke and by-products chemical manufacturing facility located along the Hackensack River in Kearny, New Jersey. The site is being addressed via an Administrative Consent Order between the NJDEP and the former site owner. DNAPL and various other constituents including chromium were found to be present in site media. The site has been remediated and plans are being developed for a multi-use industrial development.
